Thanks for your interest in joining the Ecstatic Dance Santa Barbara team! We have work-trade opportunities for Just DANCE! and Ecstatic Dance.

*Note that our outdoor Just DANCE! runs from March - October each year. Between March and October, Ecstatic Dances are only First Fridays, the rest of the year they are every Friday.

Social Media Team

25 minutes per dance. 5 minutes of content capturing in-person at dance, 20 minutes of remote content curation/posting.

Greeter Team

Work one 75-minute shift every 3 dances. For Just DANCE!, your shifts will alternate between 5:45 - 7 PM and 7 - 8:15 PM on Wednesdays. For Ecstatic Dance, your shifts will alternate between 6:45-8 PM and 8 - 9:15 PM on Fridays. Responsibilities include sharing dancefloor agreements, giving orientations, and collecting money.

Guardian Team

Hold space as Gaurdian during dance and facilitate the opening and closing of dance once every 4 dances (Trade for Ecstatic Dance Only).

Production Team

25 minutes of set-up + 25 minutes of breakdown every other dance, OR only set-up/only break-down for every dance. For Just Dance! set-up is 5:30- 5:55 PM, and break-down is 8:15-8:40 PM. For Ecstatic Dance set-up is 6:35 - 7 PM and break-down is 9:30 - 9:55 PM November - February. March - October Ecstatic Dance set up is 7:00 - 7:25 PM, and break-down is 9:45 - 10:05 PM.

Other Skills

We welcome skill-trades with photographers and videographers (esp. if you have a drone!), artists, graphic designers, builders + carpenters, and much more!
