Consent Policy

All Ecstatic Dance Santa Barbara and Dance Hive events follow a two-strike policy: If someone violates a boundary twice, they will be suspended from attending.

Fill out a Feedback or Incident Report Form (see below) for any issues taking place at an EDSB or Hive event. Written records help us track patterns and maintain a safer space.

You may submit reports anonymously, but if you include your contact info, Sierra will follow up to discuss next steps.

Incident Reports: Sierra will contact the boundary-crosser and remind them of the consent policy.
Feedback: You choose whether the boundary-crosser is contacted. However, if they have prior feedback and the pattern is a safety concern for other dancers, Sierra will contact them to remind them of the consent policy.

We will never share your identity or any identifying details with the boundary-crosser without your explicit permission.

Would you like to file an Incident Report or Feedback?

Choose "Incident Report" if the violation was predatory, violent, aggressive, involved sexual touch, or if you want to request that the person be suspended. Sierra will speak to them directly (if identified), but you may remain anonymous. Choose "Feedback" if you want the team to be aware of an issue or discuss possible resolutions with Sierra without the person receiving a strike or suspension.
